Romans 10:8-10

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word [the message, the basis] of faith which we preach—

9 because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.

Jesus is the Only Way to Biblical salvation

Acts 4:10, 12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

2 Corinthians 5:15

” And He died for all so that those who live might no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised”

You will hear the words “saved” and “salvation” used frequently in Christian circles.  Many Christians associate those words only with going to Heaven.  They miss many of the the benefits salvation brings to our lives now. Below is a brief definition of these two words.

Saved

“Saved” is the transliteration of the Greek word Sozo. It means, “to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction.” (Greek #4982 in the Strong’s Concordance.)

 Salvation

“Salvation” is the transliteration of Greek Soteria. It’s a derivative of Sozo and means, “deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation” (Greek #4991 in the Strong’s Concordance).

prayer for salvation

Almighty God. I believe Jesus is the Son of God. I believe He died for my sins and the sin of the whole world and You raised Him from the dead. You have forgiven me for my sins because of what He did. I understand that I must accept Jesus as my Savior and Lord to receive Your forgiveness. I say it now; Jesus is my Savior and Lord.

I repent of all my sins and turn from my sinful ways, to live righteously in Christ Jesus. I will obey You for the rest of my life. Please help me to do this. I am committed to Your plan and purpose for my life, and please You in everything I say and do. I desire to give you glory in every area of my life. Thank You, Father God, for hearing and answering my prayer. Amen.

Beloved child of God, you are saved.

Welcome to the family of God!

Two Things You must do to Be Saved

1. Believe it.

Believe in your heart, Jesus was crucified and died for your sin, was buried, and God raised Him from the dead.

2. Say it.

We must say/pray what the Bible says about God and His Son Jesus. If you don't know what to pray you can pray the "Prayer For Salvation" to the left of the page.
